This notice explains which personal data we collect through bazzario.it, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It describes the processing actually running on this site, not a generic template. Cookies and similar technologies have a document of their own: the Cookie Policy.
1. Who processes your data

This is the Data Controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as none of the cases in Article 37 applies. For anything concerning your data, write to the address above.
2. What we collect, why, and for how long

The guest area (/bazzario-guest) is an information page: it collects no personal data.
We do no profiling and take no automated decisions about people, and we neither sell nor pass your data to third parties for their own marketing.
3. The newsletter, in detail
Signing up takes two steps (double opt-in): after submitting the form you receive an email with a confirmation link, and the subscription becomes active only when you click it. This makes sure the address really is yours. If you do not confirm within the set time, the request lapses.
We record when and from which IP address you submitted the form and clicked the confirmation: this is the proof of consent the GDPR requires us to be able to produce.
Every newsletter carries a mandatory, always-working unsubscribe link: one click and you are out, with nothing to write to us. You can also ask at info@bazzario.it. We measure in aggregate how many emails are opened and which links are clicked, to understand which content is useful: we do not use this to profile you individually.
4. Who we share data with
Data is handled by the Controller's authorised staff and by the suppliers who help us run the service, appointed as Processors under Art. 28 GDPR where applicable.

Data may also be disclosed to the authorities where the law requires it (for example the reporting of guests to the Italian police) or to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
The only transfer to a third country concerns Google Analytics, which involves a transfer of data to Google LLC in the United States. It takes place on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC adheres, and of standard contractual clauses. You can avoid it simply by refusing analytics in the banner or through the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page.
6. Do you have to provide your data?
No: no field in our forms is required by law. But without the data we ask for we cannot do the thing you are asking for — answer an enquiry, handle a booking, send you the newsletter. Browsing data and server logs, on the other hand, are generated automatically by the mere act of visiting the site: they are needed to run it safely.
7. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) only. The admin area uses hashed passwords and a limit on login attempts. The folders holding the database, the configuration and the service files are not reachable from outside. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk; no measure, however, can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
At any time you may ask to:
- access the data concerning you and find out how we process it;
- rectify it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- erase it, when we no longer have a reason to keep it;
- restrict the processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a readable format and transfer it to another controller (portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of what was done before.
To exercise these rights write to info@bazzario.it: we reply within one month. If you believe the processing breaches the Regulation you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali), with the authority of your country of residence, or go to court.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies, localStorage and fingerprinting have their own document, with the exact list of the tools installed: Cookie Policy. From there, and from the «Cookie preferences» link at the bottom of every page, you can change your choices whenever you like.
10. A few clarifications
Submitting a form is not a booking: a stay is confirmed only by our confirmation email. The content of this site is published for information purposes. The Bazzario name, logo and distinctive signs are protected: they may not be reproduced, even in part, without written permission.
This notice may be updated: the date at the top always indicates the version in force.
